Burton Albion Community Trust will continue to operate , and the Community Hub and Community Football Centre are open as normal following the decision for professional game in England to be postponed until April 3 at the earliest.
Matt Hancock, Head of Community at BACT, said: “We will be continuing to operate, and our staff will continue to deliver important services to the community.
“We have however made a decision to suspend a few of our programmes with participants who are most at risk, such as our Cancer Recovery project, our Extra Time Hubs and our disability programmes. We will continue to look after the most vulnerable members of the community. The BACT team will support people on an individual basis so that we remain connected to these communities as we don’t want these people to feel cut off at this worrying time.
“Otherwise we will continue our engagement as normal within government guidelines and our staff will be active in supporting the community which we feel is now more important than ever.”
