PUPILS from Rykneld Primary School were treated to a visit from Burton Albion first team players Stephen Quinn and Kieran Wallace as part of a Primary Stars session.
Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
Available to every primary school in England and Wales, it inspires girls and boys aged 5-11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field.
The lads took time out from training to take part in a physical education session, which was themed on resilience and fair play, two values both players know well and have experience of this season. During the session both players joined in with the warm-up and main activity session before posing for photos.
Katie Johnson, Primary Schools Manager, said: “We are thrilled Stephen and Kieran could join us. It’s not everyday players from your local football club join in your PE lesson. The kids were so happy and it’s great for them to hear about important values from professional athletes.”
