BREWERS manager Nigel Clough has unveiled a new facility at Holy Trinity CE Primary School in Burton upon Trent.

The capacity of the school has now gone from 175 to a capacity of 240 from FS1 to Year 6 (ages 3 to 11). Two additional teaching rooms have been built, two existing rooms have been expanded and the staff room and head teacher’s office relocated and expanded.

The decision to enlarge the Church of England school, came following backing from Housebuilder Maplevale Developments Ltd, as part of their role to increase a housing development on nearby Hawkins Lane.

The school had originally accommodated up to 38 children in one classroom but has now completed its £450,000 expansion, in which Nigel Clough kindly cut the ribbon.

Upon visiting the new facility launch alongside Nigel Clough, Head of Community, Matt Hancock, said: “The job that the developers have done for the school is fantastic.

“They are one of our partner schools that Burton Albion Community delivers in every week and to see what a difference this new facility has made for the school is fantastic.”
