Primary Alternative Education
This provision will primarily cater for pupils from year 3 onwards who are currently open on the DIP database and therefore at risk of temporary and permanent exclusions. The pupils will be spending their time at either the BACT Football Centre or the BACT Community Hub and the day would run from 9am – 2.30pm.
Pupils will work on a scheme of work from ASDAN Key Steps (Core) or DOT COM (PSHE).
Both of these routes offer the chance to develop English and Maths skills through fun and engaging activities. There will be facilities to do cooking, stop motion animation and sport focussed activities.
The programme is mentor based and they will work with pupils with the aim of re-engaging them in mainstream education. Part of this is instilling the BACT Core Values in pupils- Empathy, Determination, Innovation, Pride and Passion, Respect, and Integrity.
Secondary Alternative Education
Our mentoring sessions can be delivered as 1-1 sessions or as part of small group sessions. The sessions provide support and respite for students who a struggling to engage in education. As well as providing mentoring we can also deliver a variety of registered ASDAN and Sports Leaders qualifications from our new education facility. Sessions are from 1-hour to a full-day and can be delivered from 6-weeks to the whole academic year.
