We are excited to announce that we have been re-certified as a ‘Disability Confident Employer’.

The Disability Confident scheme aims to help employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people. It is voluntary and has been developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives.

Being recertified as a Disability Confident Employer we have/are:

  • Undertaken and completed the Disability Confident self-assessment

  • -Taking all of the core actions to be a Disability Confident employer

  • -Agreeing to at least one action to get the right people for your business and at least one action to keep and develop your people.

In continuing our Disability Confident journey, we make a commitment to ensuring that disabled people and those with long term health conditions have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.

BACT Disability Coordinator, Charles Sketchley said “Burton Albion community Trust go above and beyond to provide staff with opportunity to make a difference to the community and embark on a progressive career within a caring, open and inclusive organisation.”

“Burton Albion Community Trust offers a number of activity programmes for people with disabilities both young and old. Through these programmes we offer opportunities for participants to undertake volunteering and gain valuable work and life experience within the Community Trust and the football club.”
